DMS students to support H2O for Life
This year DMS students and staff have joined H20 for Life, a national program that partners a school in the U.S. with a school in a third world country much in need of a clean water source and clean sanitation conditions. Our school has chosen a school in Haiti and we will spend the year doing fun activities to raise a total amount of $3000.

D.M.S. Joins My School Alerts |
CCSD#1 and DMS, in an effort to keep students, parents, and the community informed, will be using the My School Alerts text messaging system. We now have the ability, using text messaging, email, and voice messaging, to send information to groups. The system is set up for four groups: Students, Teachers, School Staff, and Parents. Interested persons can subscribe to any of these groups for each of our four in-town schools.

CURRENT INFLUENZA OUTBREAK PRECAUTIONS Staff and Students-- in an effort to practice good preventative measures in the following weeks--until school is out---please do the following:
- Practice good handwashing. Cover your cough and sneeze either w/ your arm or a tissue which then needs to be thrown away.
- Keep hands away from face, especially eyes and nose.
- Students, faculty or staff with influenza-like illness (fever with a cough or sore throat) should keep away from others as much as possible, stay home, and not attend school or go into the community (except to seek medical care or other necessities) for at least 24 hours after fever is gone. Fever should be gone in the asbsence of a fever-reducing medicine. This recommendation should be adhered to even if the ill person is taking antiviral medications.
