Our district currently has around 1,750 students. We have four in-town schools and fiverural schools. |

Starting salary for teachers: $42,963.00 (B.S.) and $50,747.00 (M.S.). Currently, our salary schedule increases horizontally $1,946.00 & vertically $575.00 per step. |

All of our schools have met Annual Yearly Progress since 2002. |

We are technology enriched with student-to-computer ratio of about 2.1 to 1. |

We have a New Teacher Induction program that prepares new teachers to work in their classrooms and in CCSD#1. Each participant receives a $500.00 stipend. |

The district provides ample professional development opportunities including financial assistance and district payback for staff members obtaining a masters degree. |

All of our schools are staffed with instructional facilitators and mentor teachers. |
